Young Radiology Forum
The International Team of the Young Radiology Forum is committed to representing the interests and needs of young radiologists at an international level. Our team provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience across borders to strengthen common dialogue and collaboration. Within the International Team, we establish contacts with representatives of young radiologists from other countries, establish partnerships for joint projects, and organize shared, intercultural congress sessions, for example at the European or German Röntgen Congress.

We aim to establish contacts with representatives of young radiologists from other countries to promote professional and scientific development synergistically. This includes partnerships for joint projects and also the exchange and organization of lectures and workshops specifically designed for the needs of young colleagues at national, European, and international congresses. In the long term, we aim to build an international network of the younger generation and work towards its strengthening by enabling international exchange, providing young radiologists with the opportunity to gain international experience, expand their own network, and acquire new knowledge through insights into working environments of other cultures.
Dr. Judith Herrmann (Universitätsklinikum Tübingen) Boardmember RTF (co-opted) One of our cooperation partners is the Radiology Trainees Forum (RTF) of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). The RTF is an Education Subcommittee that represents the younger generation at the European level and promotes the training of physicians in radiological education throughout Europe. PD Dr. Saif Afat (Tübingen), who serves as your contact person in the International Team of the Young Radiologists Forum, has also been appointed Chair Person of the RTF since 2023. Dr. Judith Herrmann (Tübingen), a board member of the YRF, was co-opted as an RTF Board member in 2023, and Dr. Nadine Bayerl (Erlangen), YRF Chairwoman, was nominated as the National Delegate in the RTF by the German Radiological Society (DRG). Together, we represent your interests in the RTF at the European level.
